Take a good hard look yall, that’s my dad! He has been there for me since forever! I’m not ashamed to admit that I am the biggest daddies girl yet grown up. When I was little he used to take me to all the newest movies in the theaters, it was our great tradition we did every other weekend. I would get to watch my movie, and he would catch a few Z’s while I satisfied my movie lover addiction.
Around this time of the year, I feel like there are so many Father’s Day Gifts available for everyone to choose from. The struggle I have found with picking the perfect gift for my dad has always been “doesn’t he have this already?”, or my favorite “that’s totally not his style”. You see with my dad, he loves everything new especially with technology. I am a lot like him and tend to upgrade often when it comes to electronics.
During my latest trip to Best Buy, I encountered the most awesomeness (yes I think I just made that word up) thing I have seen in quite some time. I have had 1 previous virtual reality experience in LA during my Jungle Book Movie Event, where I was able to be in the tree tops with Mowgli. It was so surreal and amazing I felt as though I was standing 40-50 feet in the air, it was amazing to kind of forget my natural surroundings for a bit and dive into an adventure. When I spotted the Samsung Gear VR I was overly excited to see what was in store for me.
It wasn’t a shock that this was basically the same virtual reality that I experienced in LA but in a more convenient smaller size. It works with any Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge+ phone. You just hook up the phone on the end of the Samsung Gear VR device and then press play. There are so many virtual reality options you can choose from to experience with this it’s mind-blowingly awesome.

I’m sure your dad would enjoy this gift of yours. I tried VR once and felt a little sick because of all the slides and what not. It was definitely an experience though.
