10 Reasons Why I Love The 2017 Mazda CX-3 Grand Touring AWD

The leaves are falling and the air is now crisp with the smell of fall in the air. It’s the magical time of the year we all love to pick apples, drink apple cider, carve pumpkins and eat apple pie. Last year the kids and I were sadly too late to pick apples from a local farm. This year I made sure we planned everything out so that we wouldn’t miss the opportunity for this year’s prime picking time.

This was not only my kids very first time Apple Picking, but it was my first time too. It wasn’t long after we had planned the trip that all of the kids and I started to debate on who would get what seat in the car on the drive to the farm. We chose to ride in the 2017 Mazda CX-3 Grand Touring AWD for our new travel logs.

I hope you enjoyed our video and take a look at a list of 10 Reasons Why I Love The 2017 Mazda CX-3 Grand Touring AWD. There were so many things to love about this car it was very hard to narrow it down to just 10, but I did it!

1 Safety. Safety for my family is always my number one priority. In crash-testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the CX-3 earned a five-star rating overall, and for frontal and side impacts (four-star for rollovers). I want a car that can meet all of my functional needs yet be safe for me to drive my kids in this uncertain world. I also love the safety features they provide in the car to help keep you aware and alert to your surroundings. Read below for those features and for what I have to say about them.

2 Keyless Entry. One of the things as a mother of multiples is the need to struggle for my keys in my Marry Poppins style purse. It is always that hassle that brings me to have to stop outside of the car no matter what the weather is, rain, snow or shine I have to fumble for my keys. The thing I love about this keyless entry option is that I can keep my keys in my purse and still get in the car. I press the button on the car handle and the car senses the key in my bag and then unlocks the doors for me. Since the car is also a push start I can keep my keys in my purse as well to start the car. YES SEE! LOVE THIS!

3 Back Up Camera. I have seen these babies on TV, as well as other family and friends cars when I ride with them, but I have never driven a car with one. This right here is one of the huge time/stress saving upgrades any car could have. The backup camera is perfect for backing into any type of space. Parallel parking and even just backing into a space is a breeze with the perfect backup camera. The camera even has lines displayed to let you know how close you are getting as well as lines to help you line up your car within the space you are choosing.

4 Side Mirror Alert. It happens to many of us, we have that pesky blind spot that seems to never go away. I’ve rattled my brain so many times on how it could be possible to look back and use my side mirror to still have that pesky blind spot. With the side mirror alert, it does the thinking for you, it will have a light pop up on the mirror anytime someone is in the lane next to you and will beep if the car senses you are trying to switch lanes.

5 Smart Cruise Control and Lights. Long drives mean lots of time on the highway, having a smart cruise control is amazing for those trips. With the smart cruise control, you can set how many cars you would like your car to sense, so that when the car does sense them it will immediately take action to decrease your speed. Once that car has moved up or switched lanes the 2017 Mazda CX-3 Grand Touring AWD will then attempt to increase the speed to get back to the set cruise speed. I LOVED THIS! It was amazing on the highway and took a lot of stress from flicking on and off the cruise control like I am used to doing. The Lights work the exact same way when it senses darkness the headlights will turn on, and once it senses light it will decrease the lights or turn them off. The same will happen if you turn on the high beams, it will sense other cars and if it does it turns the high beams off until that car has left.

6 Navigation and Bluetooth. Give me navigation and I shall travel! I love to travel and it’s always a fun adventure with my kiddos in tow. The one thing I do hate about traveling is using my phone’s GPS, not only is it sometimes not up to date which means you can get lead to the middle of a lake, but it is a battery killer and uses up so much of my data. This car is equipt with a reliable and easy to use navigation system that features a predictive text which helps make entering address’s in a breeze. This system also allows for Bluetooth from my phone which means I can stream my youtube or Pandora apps through the car. There is a Pandora option on the car menu it’s self but I opted to use my phones Pandora just because it’s something I’m used to doing in my own car.

7 Space. Space is a big thing for my family, there are 5 of us and it takes a lot to keep us comfortable and functional. Part of my weekly errands is spending a pretty penny on groceries, and then finding a way to fit it in my car and bring it all in the house. As for half of my struggle I tested the 2017 Mazda CX-3 Grand Touring AWD by pitting it against my normal grocery shopping routine.

Honestly to my surprise, the trunk was way bigger than it looks and was able to fit all of my groceries inside. There was  more room to fit other goodies. Maybe I should have gotten that family size Triple Chocolate Cake, it would have gone perfectly in the middle of that trunk. As for seating, I was able to fit all of my 4 kids and myself in the car comfortably. There wasn’t much of a push or shove during our hour long trek to the farm, so thats a plus for this mom!

8 A Sport Option. The fun option this car has is the capability to switch from sport to regular in seconds with a button. This is perfect for when you are on the highway and really want to feel the power of the car. It’s also perfect for switch lanes quickly because it can help pick you up quickly and get you going during that rush hour traffic. The car has an option to move manually in sport mode or you can choose to let the car auto shift for you. So Cool!

9 AWD. This vehicle has the i-ACTIV AWD® which is an All Wheel Drive system that is always on alert. This system is always monitoring conditions, and ready to adjust power to help give you the ideal traction before your vehicle can slip. This is perfect for those slick roads during the first snowfall or rain.

10 Great On Gas. The dashboard allows you to see how many miles you have left until you reach your ultimate zero for your tank. Since this car is way smaller than my soccer mom van, it did amazing on gas. I was able to drive for an entire week with 1 full tank, and also travel to and from a farm with the kiddos. I will add in I had to run a lot of mommy errands throughout the week so I was very impressed at how far I was able to get with just 1 full tank.
