Upcoming Trip to Kings Dominion For Charlie Brown's 50th Anniversary Pumpkin Fest

I am so excited to announce that the fam bam and I will be heading back to Kings Dominion for Charlie Brown’s 50th Anniversary Pumpkin Festival. We have never been to Kings Dominion around this time so I am super excited to experience the park at this time of year with the kiddo’s. I’ve read so much about all of the things to do for this fest as well as activities they kids can participate in. Here is a quick look at what we are expecting to see when we get there.

Things to Do

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” we will be showing the film outside of the Peanuts Showplace from 12 – 5 p.m. during the Great Pumpkin Fest!

Watch the strolling magician, Jonathan Austin, perform tricks throughout Planet Snoopy.
Location: Throughout Planet Snoopy
Hours: 12 – 5 p.m.

Meet with your favorite characters for the perfect fall photo opportunity!
Location: Peanuts Showplace Entrance
Hours: 10:30 – 4 p.m.

Now is your chance to hang out with the PEANUTS™ gang! Join Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the gang as we celebrate your day here at Kings Dominion.
Location: Planet Snoopy Meet & Greet
Hours: 2 p.m. & 5 p.m.

Kids in costume will parade their way to the Planet Snoopy Plaza where Snoopy and his friends will kick off the daily PEANUTS™ Palooza shows at 2 p.m. & 5 p.m.
Location: Starts at Snoopy’s Moon Bounce
Hours: 1:45 and 4:45 p.m.

Kids can take to the stage and show off their voices in our karaoke show made just for our younger guests!

Celebrate Halloween by hanging out with Snoopy and the PEANUTS gang in their Halloween costumes!
Location: Planet Snoopy

Learn about animals that will give you the creepy crawlies from spiders to lizards and everything in between.
Location: outside PEANUTS Showplace
Times: 1:15, 3:30 & 3:45 p.m.

Activities

Come enjoy all sorts of treats at The Great Pumpkin Fest at Kings Dominion. Families can enjoy Halloween together with a street party of frightful fun including a petting zoo, foam pit, pumpkin painting and more! The Great Pumpkin Fest runs select Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 24 – Oct. 30. Activities are from 12:00pm until 5:00pm.

*The Great Pumpkin Fest is for kids 60″ and under’

Great Pumpkin Fest Headquarters

Stop by the Great Pumpkin Fest Headquarters to pick up a map of all the activities and a treat bag. Visit all of the locations on the map and collect your own Halloween Treats!

Sally's Pumpkin Painting Patch

Help Sally celebrate Halloween and paint yourself your very own mini pumpkin to take home and enjoy.

Say hello to Patch and he’ll say hello back! This interactive Pumpkin will say the darnedest things!

Van Pelt Derby

Need a break from city life? Head over to Van Pelt Derby where kids can pedal their way through the farm on a miniature tractor.

Franklin's Scarecrow Hollow

Try to find your way through the twisting turns of this Maze made of corn and hay.
Location: Chick-Fil-A Patio

Woodstock's Barnyard Pals

Our friends at the Teeny Tiny Petting Zoo have provided us with animals for children to learn about and interact with including Alpacas, Sheep, Goats, Miniature Horses, Ducks and Chickens.Don’t forget to bring a camera because your child’s expression when interacting with the animals make for a great photo opportunity!

Ghostly Games

Try your luck and skill with a variety of fall festival games on our midway and take home a prize!
Location: In front of the Family Care Center
