Family Time at Denny’s – Featuring Their New Value Menu

Recently we visited our local Denny’s Restaurant to check out the new $2, $4, $6, and $8 Menu. We have seen so many advertisements about the new menu we had to check it out for ourselves. It was a sunny Saturday morning when we walked into the restaurant. We were greeted and sat in a family sized booth right next to the window. The sun was high so it was a comfortable light that made this particular Saturday morning very bright and cheery.

We invited my father along (Lolo) who hasn’t been back to Denny’s in a long time. I had told him about the new menu they were offering which is the $2, $4, $6, and $8 Menu. Offering select dishes and even desserts for a set price. Basically, you could build your own meal at your own discretion. My dad was very excited to see this menu and quickly went to work on reading it to see what they were offering.

I also would like to point out My kids and I love the entire menu, there are so many new dishes Denny is serving up it’s hard to choose just one thing. So my father, and I ended up choosing the Country Fried Steak over red potatoes and veggies. It was so delicious it was hard to not just reach over the table and steal my dad’s country fried steak from his skillet. The boys and I ordered the $4 All You Can eat pancakes because what kind of fun brunch would it be if we didn’t have an All You Can Eat Pancake eating contest?

I’m guessing that since we all finished at the same time and ate 2 orders of the pancakes, that I could consider this round a draw. Only because the competitive spirit in me is just happy we were able to stay neck in neck in the race. I am definitely a proud momma after watching how dedicated the boys were at trying to beat me. The pancakes were definitely fluffy and delicious! The girls ordered from the kid’s menu while the boys ordered a Ham Egg and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich with Hashbrowns.

 

My daughter’s loved the little cups at the front desk I asked them if they would like to have one with their meal. They jumped up excitingly pondering about which character they would choose. My little one Esuun choose “Ooh” from Dream Works movie Home, while my oldest daughter Keke who is 8 years old choose “Pho” from Dreamworks Kung Fu Panda. The cups were so cute they not only were decked out to look like their favorite characters but they included headbands with ears! The girls absolutely loved them and even let Lolo (Grandpa) take them for a spin when we left.

My family and I cannot wait to go back to our local Denny’s, the food was so delicious and we had such a great time together. When is the last time you have visited your local Denny’s Restuarant?
